Terminal units are interface points between the medical gas pipeline systems and medical devices intended to deliver gas to the patient. They are designed and manufactured in such a way to prevent wrong connection that could put patient’s life at risk.

Methos Afnor Theo series terminal units are composed of:

• a gas-specific base block with check valve,
• a gas-specific socket provided with internal filter.

The coupling between Methos Afnor socket and its specific probe take place by inserting the probe into the socket and turning it clockwise until hooks on the probe fit the respective housings on socket’s body.

Most significant feature of Theo series terminal units is the internal replaceable cartridge.

It allows the device to be easily and quickly serviced with a single operation. As a matter of fact the cartridge assembly holds washers, filter, spring and check valve: by replacing it the socket is practically renewed.

Each terminal unit is provided with a quick-opening flap door.
