Terminal units are interface points between the AGSS pipeline systems and anaesthetic workstations.

Methos AGSS terminal units are designed according to safety and performance requirements of standard EN ISO 9170-2 (Type 1L) and are intended to be powered by vacuum generated by side blowers.

Vacuum powered Methos AGSS terminal units are provided with an integrated flow regulation device. It allows, during the test of the pipeline or following to future requirements, to reduce the flow through each unit from full value to zero

They are also designed and manufactured in such a way to prevent wrong connection that could put patient’s life at risk.

Methos EN ISO 9170-2 Type 1L AGSS terminal units are composed of:

• base block with flow regulation device,
• EN ISO 9170-2 Type 1L AGSS socket.

The coupling between Methos EN ISO 9170-2 Type 1L AGSS socket and its specific probe take place by means of four stainless steel balls which are housed into the body of the socket. This allows the probe to be held up in four points.

Sockets are identified by means of a coloured plate which also shows the name of the service (AGSS) and the reference standard.

All base blocks are equipped with earthing wire-terminal and with screw plug for test of the pipeline before the concealment. 

Boxes for wall installation are provided with a transparent flap door to protect the terminal unit when not in use.
