Terminal units are interface points between the AGSS pipeline systems and anaesthetic workstations.

Methos AGSS terminal units are designed according to safety and performance requirements of standard EN ISO 9170-2 (Type 1L). Internal air flow is provided by means of compressed air (supplied by the pipeline). An internal regulator allows each terminal unit to be finely calibrated to get specific flow values during the test of the pipeline or following to future requirements.

Air consumption take only place when the probe is plugged into the socket.

They are also designed and manufactured in such a way to prevent wrong connection that could put patient’s life at risk.

When not many AGSS terminal units are required air-powered  system is more convenient than depression-powered system.

The coupling between Methos EN ISO 9170-2 Type 1L AGSS socket and its specific probe take place by means of four stainless steel balls which are housed into the body of the socket. This allows the probe to be held up in four points.

Boxes for wall installation are provided with a transparent flap door to protect the terminal unit when not in use.
